This ministry is an opportunity to deliver the blessing of the Divine Liturgy to those who are unable to make it to Church.

If you enjoy audio/visual technology, filming, and being involved in Divine Liturgy, this may be a great opportunity for you.

DUTY: stream Orthros and Divine Liturgy on Sunday; other services vary depending on feast days and other celebrations. Number of times will depend on number of members in committee - but likely once per month

REQUIRED SKILLS: general knowledge of a computer; the functions and processes can be taught very easily, so don't shy away if you're worried about your abilities! We need you!

There are four different choirs:

Our Adult Mixed Choir, directed by Christina Wynn, is open to anyone in the community high school or higher who loves to worship through singing.  This choir sings two to three times a month and they rehearse most Wednesday evenings. Organist is Diane Mashead.

Our Women's  Choir, directed by Ross Magoulas, is open to all women of the community and particularly sing the liturgy commissioned by them composed by the late Anna Gallos.  This choir sings every other month or quarterly. Organist is Mary Perry.

Our Men's Choir, directed by Leon Melissas, is open to all men of the community.  This choir sings at least every other month, rehearsing the Saturday before they sing.

Byzantine Chant, our chanters use a chant tradition that stretches back for at least a millennium. To request instruction and to join, email our office to request Joseph Hodges at:

This group is made up of parishioners who would like to participate in the Divine Liturgy on Sundays by reading the weekly Epistle. The readers are on a rotating schedule and new readers are added at any time.

Serving in the altar is a wonderful opportunity to see the Mysteries of the Church up close! Coming every week to serve at the altar helps one learn the rhythms of the Church and helps Father Roupas to complete his tasks each Liturgy.

It is also a chance for the rising generation of the Church to learn the rhythms of our services. Please bring the kids to be in the altar no later than 9:45 so they can get into the mindset of church.

The Senior League Ministry is an outreach program sponsored by Philoptochos to promote community interaction with and among our senior members.

Matthew 25 Crisis Ministry

"For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink. I was a stranger and you took Me in. I was naked and you clothed Me. I was sick and you took care of Me. I was in prison and you visited me. And the King will answer them, I assure you: whatever you did for the least of these, you did for me." -Matthew 25:35-36,40

The Matthew 25 ministry is an extension of so many programs at Holy Trinity. We strive to follow what God has called for us to do for our neighbors. Previously we have served in the Crisis Ministries soup kitchen as a group. This organization has made some changes and while still taking volunteers, we are unable to do so as a group. From preschool until High School we all learn about our faith in a room of our peers. We have a duty to educate our children on the Faith of the Apostles.

The Hellenic Dance Program is where your child can learn the traditions of the Hellenic Culture through Dance & Song!

Kyklonakia - (ages 4 to 8 years) Practices are held on each Wednesday from 5:30PM-6:15 PM, to prepare them for the yearly Spring Greek Festival.

Palamakia - (ages 8 - 11 years) Practices are held weekly every Wednesday from 5:30PM-6:30 PM, to prepare them for the yearly Spring Greek Festival.

Asteria/Pegasus - (middle and high school) Practices are held weekly, every Sunday from 12:15 PM-1:15 PM, to prepare them for the yearly Hellenic Dance Festival, various events in the Charleston area, and our annual Greek Festival.

Adult/College - Practice Wednesdays 7:00PM-8:00PM starting September 14

Greek School Program

The Greek School program at Holy Trinity begins with Pre-School aged children to adults. There are five teachers offering 12 classes weekly on Sundays and Wednesdays. Lessons include Greek conversation, grammar, reading and writing, cultural topics, songs, games, Greek fairy tales, quizzes, and testing.

We also regularly offer programs and service to our community.

Youth Greek School classes are held Wednesday and Sunday afternoons.

Adult Classes are held on Wednesday evenings.

The Adult Catechism classes are for those who are considering joining the Orthodox Church, as well as for those Orthodox Christians who would like to learn more about their faith. Under the direction of Father George Malanos, the class is an 8 week series of 45 minute classes which are held in the Fall and Winter on Sundays at 12:30pm in the church. A folder of reading material is provided that guides the discussion each week. Special arrangements are made for those unable to attend on Sunday afternoons.
